Weird flash ads appearance

Postby Nagash » Fri Mar 11, 2011 5:11 pm

Hi,
I'm having weird flash ads appearance. On the main webpage site flash ads triggered default filters but on any other page in this domain they are not.
Home page triggers those filters:
Code: Select all
Default filter match - Block retrieval of URL: /cdn.wibiya.*.js [http://cdn.wibiya.com/Toolbars/dir_0718/Toolbar_718398/Loader_718398.js]
Default filter match - Remove scripts with text: ox_swf.addparam( [http://hwzone.co.il/]
Default filter match - Remove scripts with text: ox_swf.addvariable( [http://hwzone.co.il/]
My filter match - Remove scripts with text: ox_swf.addvariable [http://hwzone.co.il/]
Default filter match - Block retrieval of URL: /show_ads.js [http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js]
Default filter match - Remove images/etc with URL: ?bannerid= [http://hwzone.co.il/]

Any other page with the same flash ads isn't filtered e.g: http://hwzone.co.il/articles.php

I tried filter them but with no success using chromium inspect elements which can be found here

thanks

Their server is incorrectly configured and does not respond to HTTP/1.0 queries.

They are violating internet standards.

they could fix this easily on their end.
That's not an ad blocker... THIS is an ad blocker.

My first popup stopper blocked too much.
My second popup stopper didn't block enough.

Is there anything i can do at me end? I have notice Adblock does block the flash ads, so how come the 'muncher' won't?

adblock plus is inside the browser and is insulated from worrying about what web sites do or do not implement correctly.

Ad Muncher is a much more advanced piece of software that has to deal with all kinds of things that firefox deals with for ABP.

Once we add gzip support broken sites will have their ads removed properly.

This is complicated and will be done as soon as time and resources permit.
