Overlay on nbcnews.com via msn.com

There is a full page overlay on nbcnews.com when accessed by clicking a link on msn.com. The text is: "Sign up for breaking news alerts direct to your inbox." and there is a box for you to enter your email and a button "Subscribe".

I can't furnish a direct link because it only happens when accessing via msn.com. It can be seen by visiting http://www.msn.com and clicking any link that leads to nbcnews.com.

This cookie disables it, but I would have to enter an exception in CCleaner to keep all NBC News cookies to keep it active and I would rather not do that: "www.nbcnews.com FALSE / FALSE 1403448261 msnIntroClosed overlay=true".

Is there a rule I can add to Ad Muncher to block this overlay?

Thanks

Thanks.

Later than what build #?

I had 5375 last night when I read your reply, updated to 5377 this morning and the overlay still shows up.

Would you mind posting the code that removed this item?

I am encountering the same type of overylay (though not full screen) more and more and would like to see the code so I might be able to figure out how to remove such items myself.

Thanks

there's an infinite number of ways to do it.

every site needs to be done on its own, they have almost nothing in common.

These are the two that are the most annoying for me:

Same as OP http://www.msn.com/, but clicking any link to today.com.
http://www.westmarine.com Sign up for newletter or opt out on each visit

Zapping them or giving me a direction to head in to figure out how to do so myself would be appreciated.

Thanks
