FYI, since I have Comcast, I looked around and the last poster is talking about a Hulu embedded player in the pages under http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/. I've confirmed that behavior.

But in any case, I'm not aware of Comcast having access to videos that aren't generally available on hulu.com, so I'd just go direct to the source. The player at hulu.com is nicer anyways.

I just wish the problem with ads when using the pop-out viewer could get fixed as I find it much nicer to use that.

Hulu's main site seems to have started detecting Ad Muncher again as of tonight. First, it even refused to display the video at all(I tried on a few in my queue). I cleared cache and restarted, and it would play the video, but with the ad warning and wait. I'm on the beta version atm.

I don't know why you guys insist on reporting problems without always including a direct link to the page in question.

Because it's non-specific. It's every show. OK if you must have one, I'll just pick the first off the main site... http://www.hulu.com/watch/300172/the-da ... ov-14-2011

I don't know when we will have a fix for it.

You'll have to disable Ad Muncher for now.

We are working on some new tools and they aren't ready yet.

Thanks for the update. I appreciate that when sites change their methods a quick fix is not always possible, but knowing the issue has been noted really is excellent to hear.

Also:

Jeff wrote:I don't know why you guys insist on reporting problems without always including a direct link to the page in question.

I understand it must be exasperating to get constant requests. If the issue is that problematic (clearly it is, as you complain about people "always" doing it), consider displaying a more prominent list of what information is required when reporting issues.

Please understand that, even when the requirements are shown in the forum description, the average person won't always remember the info needed unless the requirements are directly in front of them as they post.

"Us guys" aren't necessarily in IT -- for that matter, some of us only read the forums once or twice in a year if there's an obvious issue (hell, I've been using AdMuncher for the better part of a decade and until 3 months ago I didn't even know there *were* forums!) -- so I imagine that very few people here are used to submitting bug reports/feature requests. For most people, the rationale for submitting a *specific* URL isn't clear if they're seeing behaviour over the entire site; for them, saying, "this whole site!" covers the bases, even when it's not very helpful from a diagnostic standpoint.

Thanks again for the update.

It isn't even blocking ads anymore. The ads just go right through.

If you can figure out how to downgrade Ad Muncher v4.93 Beta Build 32869/3796 is still working.

Wow, this is really BAD that Hulu.com can now block Ad Muncher users all together. I can't even see anything on Hulu.com currently, EVERYTHING is blocked, I'm sure a FIX is in the works, Do you have any idea when it might be available, I really miss all my programs on Hulu without the Ad's.

Please give us an idea when we might see a FIX for this!

Thanks,
Steve

Xfinity has stopped working. I get the following message when Ad Muncher is enabled. If I disable it the video plays.

Hulu still plays the video but I get the following:

I've cleared cache and cookies several times with no luck. I'm using Ad Muncher v4.93 Beta Build 32930/3812 with Firefox 8.0.

Hi Jeff,

Is there any ballpark estimate on when it could be fixed? Hulu is the only thing I need AdMuncher for, and if it won't work with it, I'll have to drop my premium subscription. (And go into mourning. I'd pay extra to get H+ w/o ads, but they don't offer that option. So AdMuncher has spoiled me.)

I'm sure this Hulu arms race is a major hassle. I really do appreciate the time and work you guys put into this product, and I hope I can continue to purchase premium upgrades from you.

best,

steven

NB: Rolling back to an earlier version was mentioned, could someone be kind enough to point me in the direction of that build, if it's available? (or would rolling back to 4.92 work?)
