If it's not one thing, it's another. Google now seems to be force redirecting ALL search to https with the option to turn that off no longer available in settings. This of course allows the huge pile of Google text ads to be plastered all over the search since https isn't yet filterable. I have found no known way to force Google to stay on standard http. Do you know of a way to block these ads? I tried using the old standby
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 pagead.googlesyndication.com
to the hosts file. However, it does nothing now. I don't know if it's because of https or because they changed their ad serving servers.
