Is the page HTTPS?

If so Ad Muncher can't filter HTTPS yet.

Logout or switch to HTTP manually.

Hi, yes the page is https, i guess i need to look into how to change it haven't had a problem since today though so much be a recent change. Defiantly something Murry and your self need to look into though otherwise admuncher is going to become... useless.

Jeff, you mentioned something about needing to logout or change to Http rather than the Https of the YouTube. Can you give us a link on how to do this?? The recent changes to You Tube with their multiple ads is ruining the whole experience. ESPECIALLY those little popup ads centered on a video that you must click on to reduce it and if you don't click the small X you launch a advertisers web site. They also suck because they cover any text that accompany the video.

Those ads and the placement of them make me really nervous to let my granddaughters use You Tube...because they end up taking a trip to some ads website that I would not like them to go to.

I have tried to add those other ads to my filters that sit off to the right of the actual video frame...but apparently that doesn't work with those type of ads.

I kinda miss the days back in the 80's and early 90's when you could actually do research (or shopping) on the PC without all the blasted ads and flashing, scrolling things while trying to read something. LOL!

I have the same problem. Haven't seen YT ads in years... sooo annoying.
And yes, it is HTTPS, but disabling HTTPS seems to have become impossible on YT - even after entering HTTP, YT reverts back to HTTPS.

How do we fix this? Is there a workaround?

Is there anyway to force YouTube to use http:// instead of https:// when logged in ?

of course not.

this is a server side setting...

unless youtube gives you this option there's nothing you can do.

You could try complaining to google.

encryption for a video site like youtube is stupid..
