BBC Sport Website

Postby loserfederer » Mon Mar 21, 2011 5:16 pm

In the news.bbc.co.uk/sport website, Ad Muncher incorrectly removes banners which are not ads but page titles like Football, Cricket, Rugby etc. Ad Muncher also incorrectly removes images which contain links to listen sports programs live on BBC Five Live Radio. They are not ads either and shouldn't be removed.

They are situational links. You only see them in the live text commentary pages when a sporting event is going on. So hard to point to a link.

You'll need to come to the Live Chat room when it is happening and point it out to me.

It is a 400-500 by 40-85 size image. So Ad Muncher treats it as an ad. I whitelisted this directory to solve the issue:

There are no permanent links. They only appear when a live match is going on. For example, today (30th March) from 0900 GMT to 1600 GMT you can visit the http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport site, where you'll find a link called "Live: India vs Pakistan". There an image is blocked which containst the link for the live radio commentary of that match.
