Admuncher disrupts normal flash usage

Postby webbie » Wed Mar 16, 2005 6:31 am

Hello, i have been using Admuncher for some time and absolutley swear by it however i have found something rather annoying.
Admuncher seems to disrupt how IE report their ability to render Flash, the example i have is a Swedish community page however you wont have to login anywhere, its visible on the first page.

Load up http://www.lunarstorm.se with Admuncher enabled and you will find a notice just above the first field with "Smeknamn:" attached to it saying something like,
Du har inte en modern version av pluginet Flash installerat i datorn. Detta krävs för att kunna använda vissa av de nya möjligheterna i LunarStorm 5. Flash är gratis och hämtas här.

Which means that they werent able to find a new version of Flash on your conmputer and gives you a link to download it.
Disable Admuncher and that notice goes away. However, i cant exclude Lunarstorm from the filtering rules because inside it is really garbled up with ads and flashads.

Any ideas?

There's a magical little filter category that will fix this right up.

Code: Select all
 - Click the Ad Muncher icon in your system tray to open the configuration window.
 - Click the "My Filters" tab.
 - Click the "New" button.
 - Set the keyword to:
   /log/log_outside.asp?
 - Set the category to "Minimal filtering on URL."
 - Click "apply" and the new settings should take effect
after you clear your browser cache and reload the page.

That's not an ad blocker... THIS is an ad blocker.
