Ad Muncher & Eset

I've had similar problems to member 'Daz' on the post below with some pages not loading including dailymail.co.uk & also at times parts of bbc.co.uk & erratic behaviour with www.ebay.co.uk among other sites - After some experimentation I found it was Admuncher & I use 'Eset Smart Security 7.0.302.2' & disabling 'HTTP checking' in Eset does solve the issues completely - However this does break some functions in Eset that are worrying. - Is this a bug with Eset? Or is (will there be) there a alternative workaround other than disabling important functions of my main AV solution? This does seem to be a recent problem over the last week or two as it did take a while to find out the cause of the issue.

Regards Paul

You are asking two programs to do similar things at the same time.

You need to pick one.

You are still safe disabling HTTP checking in ESET.

Ad Muncher will remove most malware as you surf, and if by some unlikely chance something malignant tried to execute, NOD32 would still prevent that.

If you really want both you'll need to contact ESET.

there is nothing we can do to make these two things work together.

Thanks for the info: I was simply asking for clarification on an issue I was unaware of - I'm not attacking you or your product though, the first time I read of this problem was in the post by Daz - Its not unreasonable to require more info when disabling part of an anti-virus suite is the workaround.

Thanks.

Actually, with a pre-release version of the eSet program modules all seems ok now.
