AM doesn't filter Opera 17 in Off-road mode

Postby pegas » Fri Nov 08, 2013 2:48 pm

The header says it.

If I turn on Off-road mode in Opera 17 AM stops to filter webpages, as soon as Off-road is disabled AM starts to filter again.

Is there any workaround?

EDIT: I am shocked that Adblock extension works regardless Off-road is on or off.

Why would you be shocked.

the problem is gzip which the plugin never has to deal with.

OK, does it mean that you can nothing do with this or doesn't exist any workaround in AM settings?

EDIT: how you can justify that AM works in Presto Opera with Turbo mode (the identical to Off-road) enabled?

it never worked with turbo mode.

v5.x is needed.

No, it is not true. I am now running Opera Presto with Turbo mode enabled and AM filters communication.

Is it gonna be released this year?

turbo mode and off road use gzip to save bandwidth...

if AM filtered it for you it was a miracle.

and I don't know.

Jeff believe me, it is not my intention to baffle you. As I said AM 4.93.33707 and Opera 12.16 with Turbo enabled and AM filters communication, ads are munched and AM systray icon animates.

Therefore I could not understand why Off-road in Opera 17 isn't filtered.

Maybe it was optional before at some point.

Now it must force the gzip on.
