Any news on progress?

Postby broman.martin » Sat Feb 23, 2013 5:14 pm

I am a bit curious.. I do know that version 5.x is not here yet, still I want to ask how successful the dev team has been so far with implementing ssl support :)

Perhaps it might be possible to give us a hint on what is done/almost done so far and potentially ready for deployment with the next release :D Just to tease our senses, hopes and dreams!

Almost everything is done but for the new User Interface which we are working on now.

When that is finished we will assemble it and fix all of the obvious bugs and then release it as an alpha or beta.

If all goes as planned we could see a beta before summer. :)

No promises of course, we have high standards.

Wow...summer. It's taken 5+ years, hell what's a few more months. <angry sarcasm>

So - outstanding bugs will wait until MAYBE summer, now.

High standards is what brought me - slacking off is what's going to have me move on.

What did I say that implied we have ever or will ever slack off?

We can't release what isn't ready.

Ad Muncher is an incredibly complicated piece of software.

The new version even more so.

it takes as long as it takes.

Remember guys only two programmers work on Ad Muncher.

I wish they had more but if that is all they trust so be it.

I sure hope version 5 comes quick. Just paid for another year premium updates.
Guess what? i just got a popup. Weird, went to try manually block it... didn't work. then i noticed the HTTPS.
WTF, HTTPS on a f****ing casino ad??? COME ON. what the hell is wrong with these stupid retards??
Man, i tell you, if they're going to start spreading popups and ads on SSL, we are screwed

The birds are chirping, it's hot and it's summer. But not a word about Ad muncher v5.
No pictures no info nothing, I'm beginning to think that v5 is just a way to get people to continue to use ad muncher (and pay money of course)

anyone paying now is getting a great ad blocker still.

you'd have a point if we stopped releasing filter list updates and still expected users to pay.

v5.x is real, all of our time is spent on it.

all we do is work.

The problem is that not everything works in v4, and you say "it will be fixed in v5".

One exemple: more sites starting to force "https" and ad blocker v4 cant block the ads.
