Web site usability survey

Postby Murray » Wed Nov 08, 2006 6:51 pm

Hi everyone,

We're about to start an update of our web site (http://www.admuncher.com/), consisting of a new graphic design and some layout changes, and we would appreciate any comments you have on how the current site could be improved.

For example:

- Is there anything confusing or difficult to use about the site?

- Is there anything that you would like to see added?

- Have you noticed any other users having trouble on a certain part of the site?

Please post anything at all, no matter how minor an issue.

Thanks very much :-)

I would like to see a database type setup, which allows users to submit, via a form of sorts, custom entries that fix common annoyances or problems with various websites. These entries would be ones that wouldnt make the default list and are designed to change parts of certain webpages.

The only thing that is confusing that I think needs to be reworked is the license status on the registration purchase page. It needs to be made clear that a purchase now covers all 4.x updates and that 5.x will require a renewal or additional license purchase.

Other than that, it is great.

In regards to my idea about a database, the db should be searchable and categorized, allowing users to find various entries easily.

Yeah the forum is a wee bit "hidden", kinda. I'd switch the button labeled "community" with one that straight out says "forum". And don't call it a "chat forum" for goodness sake. ;)

Would it be possible to do something to block spam on the forum? I know some forums make it difficult for spammers to suscribe automatically, by obliging new suscribers to type a supplied letter combination or suchlike into a text box.

No complaints from me -- it's one of the most straightforward and clutter-free websites around, I should say.
