Thumbs down, mainly because there seem to be less options available on the toolbar than there were previously in the context menu. Actually I am not even certain what options are on the toolbar, other than Don’t Filter, Report, and Munch Item. Do I get further selections beyond those? Is there a document anywhere that explains exactly what I can do with the toolbar? Or must I find a page where I must take the time to just try everything? (Don’t really want to have to go through all that just to find out what tools lurk behind the toolbar!)

The toolbar just seems to have been tossed out there without much in the way of explanation.

Thank you.

This is merely the first iteration.

We can update the toolbar with every filter list update.

As time goes on we will add more and more features to the toolbar.

feedback and ideas are most welcome. :)

When will this toolbar - or admuncher in general - work on https sites. Google is forcing https on us, so we need adblocking there, again.

After installing the latest beta, I can't even highlight text on yahoo mail and that means if I want to forward any mail I can't even delete anything on it.
As for the toolbar I consider it backwards development.
If all this backwards developments are to make the program compatible with Chrome etc..
I would like to remind the developers that the majority of the web users in the world still use Microsoft browsers.

I bought 3 lifetime subscriptions with the understanding that I can use the program with 3 machines that use Internet explorer
If the backwards development of the program makes it allmost impossible to use it with the machine and browsers intended in the purchase.
I consider my purchase null and void and would like to have my money back.

If there is a specific bug you are having then send us an e-mail.

There's nothing I can think of that would cause the problem you are having.

As for IE being the most popular browser well...times change.

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/chrome ... 15053.html

now with that being said, the universal toolbar wasn't just done for chrome.

it was done for safari and every future browser, including mobile browsers and for browsers being filtered over a network.

not to mention the browser specific extensions we had made before were time sinks that required maintenance and updating.

the new toolbar brings all browsers inline to the same level and they all get updates at the same time.

we plan on adding new features in the future, eventually the toolbar will exceed the abilities of the previous browser extensions.

it's a win/win/win :)

Is an Android version still a possibility in the cards as well? I'd gladly throw more money at you to replace AdFree with AdMuncher's fantastic filters.

Thanks for all the work Murray and Jeff! You guys are gods!

I want the same thing for iOS. Though if it never happens for iOS or Android that will be ok. Worst comes to worst we can at least use Ad Muncher on a Windows 8 tablet! At least the Windows 8 Pro one. To me it will be worth switching tablet OS just to be able to use Ad Muncher on it! I know there will be a mac and linux version soon.

When do you think we will have beta version with SSL support?

many other things are higher on the TODO list than SSL support.

I know theres a way to disable toolbar or to show it via ctl/shift right click ,but is there an option to always show it ?.I know you cant please all the people all the time ,but id like to have it shown all the time for every webpage. Is there a .ini setting somewhere that can be altered to allow this?

So that i can easily see whether the individual site /web page is filtered or not.Adblock plus shows a small icon in a web page (red) to show whether its filtered or grey to show its not being filtered. The admuncher toolbar shows that, and it it seems long winded to either have to perform the keyboard/mouse action or look at admuncher logs.It would also be nice to be able to click the "items blocked" section of the toolbar and see what the items were on each page (if thats possible) rather than having to click admuncher icon >logs.Personally i think if your going to have a tool bar then make it more functional with more options rather than trying to hide and water it down for the purists :).
thanks

Thanks for the continued development.I hope you can implement something to show individual sites filtered/not filtered.Perhaps if the toolbar permanently showing is not convienient or to everyones liking ,perhaps it would be possible for the admuncher tray icon to change colour on pages that are filtered or not filtered. It just makes checking filtering much easier for individual web pages...as simple as a glance.
