Context Menu Problem

Hi, I also found this problem while trying to highlight some text (without link or pictures) and right click, looks like it happens on every page.

and on page http://www.cjdby.net/ and some other pages, right click on any blank spot will unfold the menu too (sometimes menu randomly reappear).


system: Windows 7 Ultimate (Simplified Chinese), IE8 (S. Chinese). Ad Muncher 4.8 31318

Sorry for the trouble, we did not get time to incoroprate this fix into v4.9 and needed to get it out. I will address this ASAP and will post here when I have some news.

Not yet, we are rushing v4.91 out in order to fix critical bugs and conflicts in the patching engine (i.e.: browser-crashing bugs). Collapsing the context menu entries nicely in this situation is still on the todo list but understandably other things need to be addressed first.

Again I'll post here when I have some news. My apologies for the trouble.

"Admuncher Menu" only show @ Images, Link, Iframe, Page
"Admuncher Menu" dont show @ Text highlight/selection

While helpful, the main problem here is that the owner-drawn menus used by newer versions of IE can't be recognized by Ad Muncher's hook DLL like they could in the old versions of IE. When this happens, the hook code is able to collapse the menu options into a nice sub-menu and hide each option when it's not applicable to what was clicked. There is a fix but we haven't had time to find it yet, we will do as soon as possible.

i was forget to mention that i was tested @ winxp and vista with IE8/IE7.

before i was applied that patch ( add "Contexts"=dword:00000023 ) into registry,
that hook dll (AM32-*.dll) is able to collapse into sub-menu but cannot hide when right click "Text highlight/selection"
like post by "ppnndd".

hope that patch will be temporary usefull for XP and Vista user with IE8/IE7, cheers

It is not in the current beta but will be in an upcoming beta. We are indeed working on our replacement system.
