Thanks for contacting us. Could I please ask you to try disabling the popup blocking functionality in Ad Muncher (under "Options" / "Popups", turn off "Block automatic popup windows").

There is a behavior in the popup filtering code that will try to close a new window if it's opened automatically and then moved to the background. This *shouldn't* be triggering if the link is being clicked by the user but this will just check if that's what's going on.

This did the trick, but now AM is not blocking the popup ads? :)

Thanks very much for taking the time to confirm. We're currently rushing to get the next version of Ad Muncher ready for release, but I'll investigate further ASAP.

Seriously? You're still waiting on this fix?

What the heck is going on with this program? I think it's time to start thinking ahead to an alternative. Nothing lasts forever.... :(

I'm not sure what you mean.

Ad Muncher is still going strong as it ever was.
That's not an ad blocker... THIS is an ad blocker.

No bovines were harmed in the making of this program.

My first popup stopper blocked too much.
My second popup stopper didn't block enough.
Ad Muncher was juuuuust right.

You get https filtering working, and I'll agree with you. For now, I'll be TRYING ABP with Firefox, so I can have 100% adblocking again. This is the first time I'm using an alternative adblocker since 2004. So I disagree with you - out here, in user-land, things aren't as smooth as you think. But keep being flippant - I'm sure that's always done well for folks.

HTTPS isn't something you just slap on.

It will be the most complicated thing we *ever* add.
