Ad Muncher pending Version 5.

Postby ybnice » Tue Oct 17, 2006 3:52 am

I have just purchased Ad Muncher and just want confirmation that the licence is lifetime; meaning that it also applies to the pending v5.

Thanks.

Yeah, it's definitely a lifetime license. So enjoy it! Well worth the 25 bucks :)

Read this page:
http://www.admuncher.com/register.shtml

Purchasing a copy now will license you for all future v4.x versions.

Shooting yourself in the foot Jeff.
I for one will not now purchase because of this. I was waiting for 4.7 final to purchase Ad-muncher and just before buying noticed your new policy. Ridiculous!

Waiting was your choice not our's.

If you had purchased it before October 8th you would have been covered under the old policy.

This change was not made lightly.

We are trying to provide for the long term viability and health of our company.

How does the old policy help you if we aren't here to provide those life time updates?

Also v4.7 was 2 years in development. It will be some time before v5.x is released.

A lot of the features that were planned for v5.x are now going to be added to v4.8 and v4.9 so there is nothing to get upset about here.

We have a lot of goodies planned for future versions and we want to be here to give them to you.

What will most likely be an upgrade fee for major version releases we believe is the best way to achieve this.

I hope this answers everyone's questions.

Ok I asked the question and got reply that this license was for life in the first post to which I then purchased Ad Muncher. On the home Page it does NOT say that any version AFTER 4.7 will be charged again if you already have a previous paid version. I even sent Ad Muncher a email to which I got the same reply/wording as on Home Page for purchase. The wording is confusing and not that clear. So to this end I am a bit upset that I will be charged again on Version 5 plus - which this is NOT lifetime.
